Named after the once abundant Arabian oryx, the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is located in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve which covers an area of 225 sq kms. Set in rolling dunes and desert savannah, Al Maha is only 45 minutes drive from Dubai.

Based on a Bedouin encampment, the resort has just 42 individual luxury suites all of which are furnished in a traditional Arabic style but equipped with all of today’s comforts, including a private temperature controlled swimming pool. A stay at Al Maha can be as relaxing or as active as you wish. Complimentary activities (maximum 2 per day) include camel and horse trekking, 4-wheel drive safaris, nature walks and even the opportunity to witness the ancient art of falconry. The desert mammals of the past are gradually being reintroduced to the nature reserve including the Arabian oryx, gazelle, and the Arabian fox.
