Shanti Ananda Resort

Spread over 35 acres of tropical gardens, with unparalled views of the surrounding hills and the offshore reefs, the resort is located on the south coast of Mauritius.

The resort's accommodation comprises 55 spacious suites and villas. All villas enjoy beachfront locations overlooking the sea and have been designed with privacy in mind. The Junior Ocean View Suites are located in independent buildings, each containing four suites, featuring balconies on the first floor and large courtyard gardens for ground floor accommodation. These suites have a separate dressing room, plasma TV's and spacious bathrooms featuring an outside shower.

Other rooms also available are Luxury Villas and Luxury Villa Suites, both including temperature-controlled private swimming pools, exclusive private gardens and private Salas for outdoor dining. A three-bedroomed Presidential Villa is also available.

The resort offers a choice of restaurant facilities. An all-day dining restaurant serves Mauritian and International cuisine, whilst a second restaurant offering speciality cuisine by internationally renowned chefs. Additional facilities include a tea pavilion in the spa as well as a beach and poolside refreshment service.

The Shanti Ananda promises a true Mauritian experience through it's unique combination of therapies that include ancient regimes of Yoga and Vedanta, complemented by the latest techniques of aromatherapy and spa treatments. It is designed to go well beyond just physical rejuvination, encompassing all the elements of holistic stress-free living.

The large spa, some 50,000 sq ft, is located in the hotel's tropical forest and surrounded by water. Comprising of 17 treatment rooms with an experienced team of therapists and personal trainers, the spa offers an extensive menu of treatments. The Shanti Ananda experience invites guests to venture beyond simple pampering of the body and senses; the alignment of body, mind and spirit is considered paramount and a range of other activities are available at the resort to assist in this process. These include meditation, yoga, aerobics, well-being programmes, aqua-aerobics, aqua-yoga as well as other activities including golf, tennis and nature treks.

Luxury Villas are more spacious and feature outdoor showers, lounge beds plus exclusive private gardens, whilst Luxury Suite Villas also have an extensive living room.
